Although the fairs mandate has been to promote agricultural awareness within the community, the other non-agricultural events such as the demolition derby, live music shows, mud bogs, wildlife shows, science exhibits, dog agility demonstrations, etc. provide a vast array of entertaining events for the whole family.
The fair offers a venue for those in the community to showcase their arts, crafts, livestock, produce, etc. If you are looking for a way to give back to your community, come out and join as a volunteer on one of our committees. Our annual fair is supported through fundraising events, donations and partnerships from individuals and businesses throughout our community.
The Agricultural Society owns the facilities known as the Fairgrounds which is home to the Powassan Fall Fair. The Society is a non profit, registered charitable organization, we are a separate entity and have no affiliation with any other event that happens on the labour day weekend.
The Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies (OAAS) is a unifying body for Agricultural Societies in Ontario which through communication and educational activities provides leadership to the entire agricultural industry.
We are partnered with the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 453, Powassan Lions, Knights of Columbus and our local food bank.
